Music Monday
Many of our favorite authors have writing playlists posted on their websites. Music and writing go hand in hand for a lot of writers. Music guides the story, sets the mood, motivates the author, and keeps the timing and direction that the story is moving in. So, we decided to dedicate Mondays to music. Each Monday we will feature a band from one of our favorite author's playlist.
Because Twilight brought us together, I decided to feature one of Stephenie Meyer's favorite bands for our first Music Monday. It just so happens that this is one of our favorite bands as well. Those of you familiar with Stephenie Meyer's playlists (and the Twilight Saga soundtracks) have already guessed. This Monday is dedicated to Muse.

Muse's fusion of progressive rock, glam, electronica, and Radiohead-influenced experimentation is crafted by guitarist/vocalist Matthew Bellamy, bassist Chris Wolstenholme, and drummer Dominic Howard. Bored by the sleepy life provided by their hometown of Teignmouth, Devon, the three British friends began playing music together.

ReplyDelete@Sara - I second that! SM turned me on to a whole new genre of music. I can't imagine life without some of my favorite alternative bands, including Muse.
Would you expect Tevya to pick anything else in her first music showcase? :)
