Literary Lark Pursuit: February - Round 1

It's a new month and that means three new competitors in the Literary Lark Pursuit. Who will be queen of the nest this month? Only time will tell. The winner will receive a $10 gift card to Amazon or Barnes and Noble (winner chooses) and a lovely scrabble tile necklace made by our very own, Tevya. The winner will also be allowed to compete in March to defend her title. The goal is to have fun and learn about books.

Let me introduce our three competitors....

Julie from Reading Lark

Cindy from Books Complete Me

Gina from Behind Yellow Eyes

Literary Lark Pursuit Basics:
Each week I will be issuing a challenge to the three lovely ladies competing this month. They have a week to track down the information I seek. Each of competitor must track down various books, authors, book trailers, and other literary items. One point will be awarded for each unique item. If this sounds like something you'd enjoy - send us an email and we'll get you on the  competitor list. Comments

  1. I'm near Kansas City!! I need to find Prospero's. . . and Reading Reptile was actually just featured last Sunday in the Kansas City Star! My favorite local indie bookseller is Rainy Day Books. They're who hosted Stephenie Meyer when she was promoting The Host- in fact, they host signings and events at least once a week.

  2. Why do you think I chose Kansas City as their location? We already did Seattle and New Orleans. :)

  3. Dang it! I was sure someone else would pick Julie of the Wolves so I switched it to the American Girl book at the last minute. And with an awesome name like Prospero's Books I knew someone else would pick it....but I'm teaching The Tempest now and it was too good to pass up! Good job Cindy, I'm coming after you next week! :)

  4. Oh, and Georgia has some incredible authors! I love Flannery O'Connor and had no idea she was from GA.

  5. @Julie - Georgia does have lots of great authors. I loved all the ones you chose. I also would love being included in that list someday. :)
