Weekly Lark 12/7/11

The Weekly Lark is a prompt for the imagination: something that’s just for fun. A lark is defined as “a source of or quest for amusement or adventure”. . . so let the adventure begin!

This week: What are your family's unique holiday traditions?

Paula: My children have gotten one new Hallmark ornament every year. By the time they leave home, they will have an entire collection. They also get to open one gift on Christmas Eve- their new jammies. Gotta have them looking good in the Christmas morning pics.

Tiffany: We do the same thing. Unfortunately, both my son and husband get Star Wars ornaments, so there's a Star Wars themed tree strategically placed in the dining room we never use. We eat Santa pasta every Christmas Eve, before reading T'was the Night Before Christmas. Santa pasta was something "the naked guy mommy likes to watch cook" made- Jaime Oliver the Naked Chef's carbonara. You can just imagine what the teachers thought.
