Cover Crazy: Illusions of Fate
Honestly, the first thing on this cover to catch my eye was the author's name. I am a die-hard Kiersten White fan, and would likely pick this book up even if the cover was plain black Arial on a white background.
This cover, in all its rich detail, makes the book all the more tempting. I love the tag line in the upper left. I love the detail of the cup, and how the birds seem to be escaping from it. I am a fan of contrasting light and dark, and this cover makes good use of shadow. Even the woman's ring, dress, and hair invite me to look deeper for hints of the story inside. The overall effect is just lovely temptation.
