It is one of my favorite books and L...I love Speak. It is one of my favorite books and Laurie Halse Anderson is one of my favorite writers. This book actually influenced how I created the main character in my novel Freshman Forty, about a concealed teen pregnancy, which incidentally Jen just reviewed. I was surprised to see a review of Speak here since it was written a long time ago. But I'm glad you are keeping it alive as it is an important story with an important message. I was actually shocked at how real it was.
