Paper Lantern Lit Preferred Blogger!

I am ecstatic to announce that Reading Lark has joined the ranks of the Paper Lantern Lit Preferred Bloggers. I've enjoyed so many of the PLL titles that I have read. It is truly an honor to be chosen.

To celebrate the Larks new status, I decided to take some time today to talk about my top three PLL favorites.

Kate Ellison is one of my favorite writers. I love the darkness that creeps into the tone of her stories. She also adds in a layer of seriousness by including tough issues in her novels. This story combines paranormal elements with mental illness.

I fell in love with this cover long before I ever had the chance to read the book. So often in blogging, novels get pushed to the side in order to accommodate publishers. Sadly, that happened to this little beauty. I can't believe I waited so long to read this! It was the perfect summer read - romance, a trip abroad, and lots of laughter. I adore contemporary romances and this one left me craving more of Morrill's writing.

I told you I loved Kate Ellison. The Butterfly Clues was Ellison's debut novel and it had me from chapter one. Her trademark fusion between serious issues and dark moods was so palpable that my heart pounded through a majority of the novel. The mystery in this one was intriguing and kept me guessing.
