Goodbye to 2013: Julie's Giveaway

Last year we featured our top 12 favorite reads and gave our readers a chance to win our favorites. This year we are showcasing our top 13 reads of 2013 and giving you a chance to win some books! Each day from December 28 - January 2 we will highlight the list of one of our Larks. Our followers can enter to win ONE book of their choice from each featured list. Today we're featuring Julie's 2013 list. The books on the list weren't necessarily published in 2013, but they were all read in 2013.

    1. Love that choice! I'm a bit of a book pimp for Eleanor & Park. ;) I tell pretty much every person I know to read it, and thus far, no one has been disappointed.

    1. I loved it! I encouraged our students to pick it for the school Book Club I'm the adviser for. I knew that when I described it as "Water for Elephants meets Harry Potter" they'd be on board. ;)

    1. Carl, I'm the same way. I've always loved them together. The insane (literally) devotion is as attractive to me as they are for some reason. It really was a great dread, especially if you know even slivers of info about them and their lives.

    1. I gave my daughter a copy of this for Christmas and she read it in a few days. She's a reader (and has decided to go for an English major next year at college), but she rarely does that with books anymore. It was so nice to see her laying in bed reading like the old days when she was in middle school and read a ton. :)
