Cover Crazy - #2

Cover Crazy is a meme that we got from The Book Worms and fell in love with. The cover of a book is so important. For many people, the cover itself determines whether or not the book will even be opened and read. This is chance to spotlight our favorite book covers.

This week, I chose to spotlight the cover of Fallen.

I love this cover for so many reasons. First of all, it's just a beautiful cover. I love the shades of darker colors and the way that light is peeking through the shadows of the trees. I love how Luce looks devastated, with her face hidden in her hands. The dark birds could almost be mistaken for the black feathers of Daniel's wings. The dark colors give a hint of the despair and hopelessness of Daniel & Luce's story, while the light coming through the trees gives us hope for their Happily Ever After. This is one of those covers that, for me, sets the tone perfectly for the story being told.
