Waiting on Wednesday - Delirium

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine.

This week, I decided to feature Lauren Oliver's Delirium. Yes, I have already read (and reviewed) this book... and yet I am still waiting anxiously for it to be published on February 1st. I can't wait for others to have an opportunity to read this amazing story, and to get to know Lena, Alex and Hana. (Did I mentoin Alex? *sigh*) I am so ready to be able to talk about Delirium with my friends!

If you are anxiously awaiting Delirium like I am, then you need to head on over to the Delirium Blog Tour hosted by
Books Complete Me for your chance to win a copy of Delirium! Here is the tour schedule. Each day features a fun way to get to know the story and its characters.

Monday: Between the Covers - Welcome to the World of Delirium
Tuesday: Books Complete Me - Chapter Excerpt
Wednesday:
A Good Addiction - Meet Alex
Thursday:
Mundie Moms - Meet Hana
Friday:
Page Turners Blog - Meet Lena

I debated putting a snippet here, because as I said in my review, I went into Delirium blind and I strongly believe that my reading experience was enhanced becasue I experienced the shock value of what I was reading while I was reading it. But....if you just have to know more...here's a little tidbit for you...

From Amazon:
Ninety-five days, and then I'll be safe. I wonder whether the procedure will hurt. I want to get it over with. It's hard to be patient. It's hard not to be afraid while I'm still uncured, though so far the deliria hasn't touched me yet. Still, I worry. They say that in the old days, love drove people to madness. The deadliest of all deadly things: It kills you both when you have it and when you don't.

  7. I'm glad you mention Hana, because her relationship with Lena was one of the more interesting aspects of the book. A lot of what I've read about Delerium is focused on the love story, although for me the questions to the book brought up were about other forms of love (friendship, mother-love, etc.) than romantic love.
I can't believe you went into Delirium blind, though! How did you miss all the hype?
