What is your favorite romance hero-type? Stereotype wise. Do you

like the strong silent type or the brute macho man?

Hmmm, this is a tough one. Especially for someone who is not much of a romance reader. Tevya would be so much better equipped to answer this question. She's busy at the moment, but when she gets home I will add her response.


I think that I prefer the strong silent type. I like the romantic hero type that is always supportive and stands up for what he believes in, but uses his brains instead of his brawn. However, I do like a little sass from time to time. I am not a fan of the macho type at all. Give me someone like Sam Roth from the Wolves of Mercy Falls series by Maggie Stiefvater or a Dean Winchester type over a macho BDB type any day.

LOL Macho BDB type? She's a funny one, isn't she? Here to add in my answers. :) Oh what a question....aren't they all just yummy? I mean really, how's a girl to choose? While Andrea has a point about the strong silent type, and I have fallen for many a characters like Sam Roth (can I get a *sigh*?) and Edward Cullen, I typically go for the bad boys. I like the rough and rugged, take charge, doing what the heck he wants to no matter what. I like the rebel, both the subtle rebel and the flat out in your face rebel. I like my hero to take matters into his own hands, be the protector, but still appreciate the beauty and strength (and mind) of a strong, independent woman. Oh wow - I could go on and on. Hmmm....perhaps we need a list? Top 10 favorite strong and silent types and top 10 macho men? It would be fun to see how different mine and Andrea's answers are on both lists. I think that may just be an idea for another day...
