Waiting on Wednesday: Warm Bodies
Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event by Jill at Breaking the Spine.
This week I am waiting on.....
Warm Bodies by Isaac Marion
This book will be out in May 2011.
A zombie who yearns for a better life ends up falling in love—with a human—in this astonishingly original debut novel.
R is a zombie. He has no memories, no identity, and no pulse, but he has dreams. He doesn’t enjoy killing people; he enjoys riding escalators and listening to Frank Sinatra. He is a little different from his fellow Dead.
Not just another zombie novel, Warm Bodies is funny, scary, and deeply moving.

ReplyDeleteI'm really looking forward to this one too!
ReplyDeleteI am reading the ARC at the moment. I can promise it is well worth the wait. I am in love with this book.
ReplyDeleteOhhh!! I think this is my first time hearing about Warm Bodies... it sounds great! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm not very into zombie books... (haven't read one yet) But a zombie falling in love with a human? Interesting.
ReplyDeleteAs for your question, yes I DEFINITELY recommend the Inheritance Cycle books. I read Eragon in something like 3rd grade (Lol I'm young) and it's one of those books that I credit my love of reading to.
@Midnight Bloom - I hope to finish and have my review up this weekend. I need it to come out so I can talk to others about it.
ReplyDeleteWow, this looks cool! I never heard of it before. I'm interested in reading from a zombie's POV.
ReplyDelete@Lucia - I'm not a huge zombie fan, but I do like Carrie Ryan's stuff. I thought I'd give this one a try and it was a great decision. It is so much more than just a zombie book.
ReplyDelete@P.E. - I can't think of any other book where it is from the zombie's perspective. I think it's such an interesting take on the zombie genre.
awesome pick! Warm Bodies looks really good :)

ReplyDeleteNice pick! I LOVE the cover for this one, and it definitely sounds unique. I'm not a huge fan of zombies, but I may have to try it out...
ReplyDeleteI have yet to read a zombie book (I have Forest of Hands and Teeth patiently waiting on my shelf!), so this looks really interesting. I think it's already added to my TBR list, too :D.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comment!
Oh wow, I'm not really a fan of zombies, because most of the zombie's I've come across are just gross. But, this book sounds like it's gonna put a wickedly awesome spin on them and it sounds like something I'd definitely be interested in reading. :)
ReplyDeleteThis one sounds crazy! Wow. I can't wait to see what you think of it! That has to be one of the most bizarre stories I have ever heard of.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog. :)
