"Pick a character from a book you are currently reading or have just finished and tell us about him/her."

Tevya: Wren Tigarian from Unleash the Night by Sherrilyn Kenyon

Wren is a Were Hunter who is part Snow Leopard and part White Tiger. He can take either form at will, but his base form is that of a Tigard, an abomination that has put him in danger his entire life, as his family on both sides would like nothing more to see him dead. Wren grew up in Sanctuary, protected unwillingly by the Peltiers. He is shy and withdrawn, talking to very few people, as most (including himself) fear him and his powers. He falls in love with a human, Maggie, and with her learns to accept the human that resides in him along with the beast. He finds that he is capable of tenderness, of caring, and love. Together they return to his past to find evidence of his innocence to and to end the hunt for his death.

Andrea: Karena Jorge from The Stormchasers by Jenna Blum

Karena is a woman in her late 30's who works for a Minnesota newspaper. She is desperately trying to find her twin, Charles, whom she has not seen in 20 years. Charles suffers from bi-polar disorder and is a storm chaser. Karena wants nothing more than to help her brother get the medical help he needs but refuses to seek. In her quest to reunite with her brother, Karena will chase a few storms of her own and meet people she will never forget.

"Do you have anyone that you can discuss books with IRL? Tell us about him/her."

Andrea & Tevya:

*WARNING: This is a subject that I get emotional over and I tend to go on and on. *sigh* That being said, this post is long - and I shortened it up for you the best that I could. You will not hurt my feelings if you don't read it. ~Tevya

Andrea and I have shared a passion for reading from day one. It is one of the things that brought us together when we met on TwilightMOMs. Although our taste in books do not overlap much more than YA literature, we enjoy sharing and discussing our current reads with each other. Outside of reading, we have much in common. We are both teachers, both March babies, and both have anniversaries in April. We were both born and raised in the south, and we are both from close-knit larger families. We love animals - and we both have dogs named Jasper! We are silly, loyal, and passionate about the people and things we love. We also enjoy traveling together. The first time we met in person was two years ago when we went on a TwilightMOMs trip to Forks, Washington. Last year we went on vacation together with our friend Meagen, whom we also met on TwilightMOMs and share a love of books with, and this year we are returning to Forks. Our love for reading and writing brought us to creating Reading Lark, and here we are!

In addition to each other, TwilightMOMs has connected both Andrea and I with friends who we can share our love of books with. Through our friends on TMs, we have met other friends that we can share and discuss books with. I speak for myself, and I am sure Andrea too, when I say that I have gone from being the loner sitting in a corner reading my books, to having a whole network of friends who share the same interests and who are just as passionate about reading as I am. My husband jokes that it doesn't matter which state I travel to, I have at least one friend there who I can call, and we will get together for lunch and girl talk - usually revolving around books, but we also share all aspects of our lives. I talk to my "book friends" on a daily basis, and they have held me up and supported me when I needed it most.

I have to also give a shout to my sisters here (my real life sisters - my Sisters, who know who they are, are included in the network of friends mentioned above) and my mom! I am blessed to have these fabulous women in my life who are alwasy excited to hear about what I'm reading and share new books they have found that they think I would enjoy. Now I'm working on instilling my love for reading in my two children. So far so good - they both love to read!

  14. Wren is one of my favorites from Dark Hunter series!!!

I absolutely agree about TM's. Being one myself I can only say, that it has given me so much!!! Talking to people who share the same fascination to Twilight series has been incredible. Lot of blogs I am reading have TMs as owners of the blogs. It has given me a wide circle of friends in different part of the world and the most fun part is, that they share the same passion for books and reading. I envy TwiMOMS in US, because they can actually meet each other. I am keeping in touch with my TMs friends through internet mostly.

  15. I've never read Sherrilyn Kenyon although my friend swears by her. I've never quite made it that far. Although, I'm really into weres and this one has a fun twist, I may finally put off my other TBR's and grab that one.

As for Jenna Blum, I've read one of her books and didn't like it a ton, but that one sounds kind of interesting.

You're very lucky to have someone to share books with IRL. Sadly, I don't really have anyone, but I've got tons of friends on the blogosphere so I'm thankful for that!
