"Summer is coming quickly - what 2011 summer release are you are most looking forward to?"
Andrea: This is a hard one because there are so many books I am looking forward to this summer, but I suppose I am going to go with Wolfsbane by Andrea Cremer.
Tevya: Passion by Lauren Kate
If you were stocking your bomb shelter, what books would you HAVE to include if you only had space for ten?
Andrea and Tevya both agree that 10 is not fair. Andrea would have to take her Kindle and Tevya would have to have her Nook.
Andrea:
1. Dracula by Bram Stoker2. The Violets of March by Sarah Jio (one of my new favorites!)3. Interview with the Vampire by Anne Rice4. To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee5. Look Homeward Angel by Thomas Wolfe6. The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald7. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by J.K. Rowling8. Cold Mountain by Charles Frazier9. Gone with the Wind by Margaret Mitchell10. The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian by Sherman Alexie
Tevya:
1. Twilight by Stephenie Meyer2. Eclipse by Stephenie Meyer3. Lover Unbound by J.R. Ward4. Night Embrace by Sherrilyn Kenyon5. Night Play by Sherrilyn Kenyon6. Birthright by Nora Roberts7. Delirium by Lauren Oliver8,9, 10. Gallaghers of Ireland trilogy by Nora Roberts
I agree I'm definitely anxious to get wolfsbane. I have yet to read Lauren Kates books. (I have them on my shelf i just haven't read them yet)
ReplyDelete@AngelicNytmare: I haven't read the Lauren Kate books yet either. I have the first one and Tevya keeps telling me I need to, but I haven't had time.
ReplyDelete1,2,7 <--- Good stuff :D

The Violets of March you say...I am going to have to check that out!
ReplyDeleteGreat apocalyptic book choices! Haha, and also, Wolfsbane... I didn't even think of that, I'm so inundated with reading material I'm seeing funny shapes, :P
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog! Have a great weekend!
Nora, The Bookery
Wolfsbane was my answer, too!! Great list. I love how one's kind of more YA. :D
ReplyDeleteY'all have some great picks. At least since there are two of you, you'll have a total of 20 books to read.

Thanks for hopping by my blog! Andrea, I'm definitely with you for #4, #7, and #9, and Tevya, #7 all the way!

Thanks for stopping by my blog.
ReplyDeletePassion is one i'm looking forward too as well. Wasn't hugely impressed with Fallen but rather enjoyed Torment. Hoping Passion will improve again. :D
OUt of both of your lists i've only read Harry Potter. You've got some interesting titles though. :D
Have a great weekend.
Thanks for stopping by my blog, Andrea :) I'm a follower here now too.
ReplyDeleteI've seen Deathly Hallows on many people's lists! I wish there was space for it on mine too but Goblet of Fire has always been my favorite so that got my HP spot.
I just had Delirium checked out of the library but never got a chance to read it. :( If it made Tevya's list then I must get it again soon!
Love the cover for Wolfsbane, that's my most anticipated YA release.
Kaity - Bitten Books
I like your choices! I went with humor, to help keep things from getting too grim.
ReplyDeleteHi! I just joined the Blog Hop. I just have to say that your blog is beautiful! I can't wait to learn more from it. Thus far, your book choices are both right up my alley and books I haven't head of before. That's exciting!
