Book Boyfriend: Sebastian Lamarlieres
We decided that Thursday needed a little pizazz and stumbled on this meme while hanging out at one of our favorite blogs, A Book and a Cupcake. So we took ourselves over to The Unread Reader to see what it was all about and join the fun. The Unread Reader features this meme on Wednesdays, but we figured moving our participation to Thursday wouldn't hurt anything. We'd love it if you'd leave a comment if you participate in this so we can check out your book boyfriends as well.
My Book Boyfriend of the Week is Sebastian Lamarlieres from Darkness Becomes Her by Kelly Keaton.

My ideal Sebastian is Ben Barnes.
Appearance:
(pages 43-44)
* Locks of raven hair
* Tall - 6'1"ish
* Startling, Soulful Gray Eyes framed with thick, inky black lashes
* Often seen wearing old jeans, black tees, and black boots
* Black Eyebrows almost always drawn in a scowl
* Slightly sinister appearance
* A nice face that could go from poet to tough depending on his mood
* Dark blood red lips
Why He's My Book Boyfriend:
Sebastian is a hottie bad boy with a heart of gold and a mixed supernatural heritage. I don't want to give too much information about his heritage; it might spoil the read for you. He is extremely protective of those he loves. Sebastian can be hot while kicking some butt or cradling you when you don't feel well. He is loyal and devoted to his friends. He also accepts people despite their faults. There is also something intriguing about a hot guy with connections to New Orleans; I have always thought of this as a magical city.
Facts about Sebastian:
* Plays the drums when stressed
* Sometimes sarcastically called "Mr. Warm and Welcoming" and "Mr. Personality"
* Wears on his left wrist a dark leather bracelet with a silver inlaid band
* Strong fighter
* Stands up to his family when they are wrong
* Excellent New Orleans tour guide
Quotes about Sebastian:
* At five-eight I wasn't that much shorter than Sebastian, but I felt small under his storm-cloud gaze. ~ pg. 45
* A drum echoed from somewhere down the hall. The another and another, until a rhythm took hold. The walls and floor vibrated. The tempo picked up, fast, furious, and seriously good, seeping into my skin and bones, finding its way to my heart and beating in time. "That's Sebastian," Crank said. "He plays when he's in a mood." ~ pg. 47
* "Sebastian doesn't like to talk about it. But he reads people, you know? He feels what they feel. Sometimes too much." ~ pg. 49
* Sebastian appeared behind me. "She's mine," he said in a calm voice. ~ pg. 59
* The right side of my face pressed against the soft cotton of Sebastian's T-shirt, my ear over his heart. One of his hands cupped the back of my neck, his fingers tangled in my loose hair. His other hand was splayed on my lower back, palm against the bare skin where my shirt had ridden up. Warmth surrounded me. His warmth. His smell. His arms. ~ pg. 87
