Dracula in Love Giveaway!
The wonderful Karen Essex was kind enough to give Reading Lark one copy of her novel, Dracula in Love, to offer up to our readers for Halloween. The contest will run from October 20-30. The winner will be announced on Halloween.
Karen Essex turns on the heat in this transporting and darkly haunting new tale of love and possession that puts forth the question: What if everything you knew about Dracula was wrong?
From the shadowy banks of the River Thames to the wild and windswept coast of Yorkshire, the quintessential Victorian virgin Mina Murray vividly recounts in the pages of her private diary the intimate details of what transpired between her and Count Dracula—the joys and terrors of a passionate affair and her rebellion against a force of evil that has pursued her through time.
Mina’s version of this timeless gothic vampire tale is a visceral journey into the dimly lit bedrooms, mist-filled cemeteries, and locked asylum chambers where she led a secret life, far from the chaste and polite lifestyle the defenders of her purity, and even her fiancĂ©, Jonathan Harker, expected of her.
Bram Stoker’s classic novel was only one side of the story. Now, for the first time, Dracula’s eternal muse reveals all. What she has to say is more sensual, more devious, and more enthralling than ever imagined. The result is a scintillating gothic novel that reinvents the tragic heroine Mina as a modern woman tortured by desire.

Great giveaway! I would love to reread Dracula and then read this book right after to compare each person's story. The cover's also great.

I am thrilled about this giveaway because I've been wanting to read this book and all the giveaways I've seen have been U.S. only so here's a chance for the rest of us!
ReplyDeleteOkay it is U.S. only. I didn't see that. Oh well easy come easy go.
ReplyDeleteGreat giveaway! Thanks so much for the chance to win! :)
ReplyDeleteI didn`t end up filling in the form bc I realized it was US only once I got to the form. Your post doesn`t mention this. :(
ReplyDeleteGood luck US people! :)
Thanks for the giveaway chance! I'm excited to read a different version of a classic and see a different side of Mina.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry! I meant to put that it was only open to US residents in the post. I have fixed that. I apologize. I had to limit it to the US since the book is not being shipped by Reading Lark. It is coming from the publisher. Typically if a giveaway is being shipped from a Reading Lark reviewer it is open to residents of the US and Canada.
ReplyDeleteNEWSFLASH: VAMPIRES LOVE CANADA!! We will definitely ship to Canada as well as the US so please enter freely for a chance to get bitten!

The post and form have now been updated to reflect that the contest is open to Canadian residents as well. Thank you, Karen Essex! :)
