Teaser Tuesday: The Time in Between & Alice Bliss


Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly feature, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. 

    Like a balloon being punctured, the whole sham of my fascinating past disintegrated in a second. And the strangest thing was, it didn't bother me at all.

Crossing the parking lot, just those few feet to her dad's truck, Alice almost can't feel her feet touch the ground. When she opens the door and finds Ellie asleep on the seat, relief washes over her and threatens to spill over into tears. She waves at Eddie to let him know they're all right and climbs up into the cab.

As a young woman under her mother's tutelage, Sira had become an expert seamstress creating the most admired and modern fashions of that time. Her skilled needled fingers created garments sought by those willing to pay for exotic dressware.
