Quotes:
*All quotes were found on Goodreads.
"Ansel, I'm not the sun, stop orbiting and get in here."  (Calla in Nightshade)

"This is where you belong, Calla.” He pulled me closer, tilting my chin up. “Be with me. Tell me it’s what you want.”
I couldn’t tear my eyes from his. “What I want?”
“Yes. Anything, everything you need, I’ll give you. Always. I promise. Just tell me one thing.”
“What?”
“That you want this, us.” His voice dropped so low I could barely hear him. “That someday you’ll love me.”

My hands began to tremble where they rested around his neck. ( Ren & Calla in Nightshade)

"The relationship of a girl and her favorite novel can be complex indeed." (Calla in Nightshade)

“I’m a fighter, not a lover,” I gasped.
“You can’t be both?” His smile made my knees buckle. (Calla & Ren in Nightshade)

Our kisses were so full of need, so long, so fierce that I could hardly gasp for breath.  (Calla & Ren in Bloodrose)

"I've always welcomed war, but when the last battle ends, what life is left for a warrior?" (Calla in Bloodrose)

Why She's My Book BFF:

Calla and I have a love/hate relationship going on like most girls. She's so strong and isn't afraid to show the boys how its done. I admire her for those qualities. I also love that she is snarky and sarcastic. She is a strong female role model. However, I often find myself frustrated with some of her decisions - particularly when Shay and Ren are concerned.

Calla's intense loyalty to her pack and those she cares about is something else that makes her stand out for me. She would die for anyone of her pack mates and throughout the series she is often in harm's way in her attempts to protect others. I don't think I could be as self sacrificing as she is throughout the books. She has the markings of a true leader.

  3. Dianna Agron IS beautiful... have to admit! I've still got to read this series. Is Bloodrose the last book?

    1. Yes - these are must reads. I love the series and Cremer's writing. Bloodrose is the final book in this portion of the series. Cremer is working on some prequel novels that will fit into the same universe, but won't have Calla and Co.

  4. Does Calla have a middle name? :o
