Spotlight on Divergent
Coming to you from Reading Lark over the next week we have a series of spotlights
focusing on Insurgent by Veronica Roth, the second book in the Divergent trilogy. You can catch up

Today we are featuring the Divergent; people who could fit into more than one faction.
Divergent
Characteristics of faction:
Receives a result on the aptitude test indicating an aptitude for more than one faction.
Most Divergents have two aptitudes.
Being a Divergent is regarded as being extremely dangerous and Divergents are
encouraged never to tell anyone what they are.
Quote:
“... you display equal aptitude for Abnegation, Dauntless, and Erudite. People who get
this kind of result are..." She looks over her shoulder like she expects someone to
appear behind her. " ...are called... Divergent."

Why the Divergent are the best:
Candor provide many of the government officials, and let’s face it in today’s world
there are far too many politicians who seem only too happy to stretch the truth... Who
likes a liar, really?

You are so correct! Harry Potter would definitely be a Divergent, I'd like to say Luna would follow, but I', kind of doubting it. Yes. Great post.

ReplyDeleteThanks! I had a lot of fun doing this one post in particular! I came to realize that almost all the characters I love are Divergent, and in particular, heroes seem to commonly have a cross over between Dauntless & Abnegation. It was something that should have been obvious, but I had never thought about it before!
