Lazy Days of Summer Giveaway Hop

Reading Lark is very excited to be participating in this fun giveaway hop hosted by I Am a Reader, Not a Writer and Colorimetry. The giveaway runs July 27 - August 1. Our Rafflecopter form will be open for entries @ 12:01 am. We will announce the Reading Lark winners on August 2.

Tons of great blogs are participating in this hop, so be sure to check out what's being given away at each blog. You have a ton of chances to win some really great books! Most importantly...have fun!

Here at Reading Lark we have two giveaways. The first giveaway is open to US residents ONLY. The second giveaway is open to CANADIAN residents ONLY. You must be 13+ to win one of these giveaways.

Giveaway #1: Being Friends with Boys by Terra Elan McVoy (ARC) - US ONLY

Charlotte and Oliver have been friends forever. She knows that he, Abe, and Trip consider her to be one of the guys, and she likes it that way. She likes being the friend who keeps them all together. Likes offering a girl's perspective on their love lives. Likes being the behind-the-scenes wordsmith who writes all the lyrics for the boys' band. Char has a house full of stepsisters and a past full of backstabbing (female) ex-best friends, so for her, being friends with boys is refreshingly drama-free...until it isn't any more.

When a new boy enters the scene and makes Char feel like, well, a total girl...and two of her other friends have a falling out that may or may not be related to one of them deciding he possibly wants to be more than friends with Char...being friends with all these boys suddenly becomes a lot more complicated.

Giveaway #2: Blue Bloods by Melissa de la Cruz (SIGNED COPY) - CANADA ONLY

When the Mayflower set sail in 1620, it carried on board the men and women who would shape America: Miles Standish; John Alden; Constance Hopkins. But some among the Pilgrims were not pure of heart; they were not escaping religious persecution. Indeed, they were not even human. They were vampires. The vampires assimilated quickly into the New World. Rising to levels of enormous power, wealth, and influence, they were the celebrated blue bloods of American society.

The Blue Bloods vowed that their immortal status would remain a closely guarded secret. And they kept that secret for centuries. But now, in New York City, the secret is seeping out. Schuyler Van Alen is a sophomore at a prestigious private school. She prefers baggy, vintage clothes instead of the Prada and pearls worn by her classmates, and she lives with her reclusive grandmother in a dilapated mansion. Schuyler is a loner...and happy that way. Suddenly, when she turns fifteen, there is a visible mosaic of blue veins on her arm. She starts to crave raw food and she is having flashbacks to ancient times. Then a popular girl from her school is found dead... drained of all her blood. Schuyler doesn't know what to think, but she wants to find out the secrets the Blue Bloods are keeping. But is she herself in danger?

  13. Char is a very relatable character, at least to me she is. I definitely prefer to be friends with boys instead of girls for the same reasons she does. Char sounds like such a cool laid back girl and yes I want to meet the boys. Also this was released on my birthday but sadly I couldn'tget it at the time so I'm crossing the fingers. Being Friends With Boys is definitely a story I would fall in love with.
