Cover Crazy: Live Through This

The purpose of Cover Crazy is to feature a cover each week for us to admire its beauty. I really like this idea since there are so many great covers out there! Cover Crazy is a meme that was started by The Book Worms. The linky is currently hosted by Turning the Pages.

There is something so appealing about this cover. I love the textures - the smoothness of the blanket against the grass is beautiful. It's also interesting to me that I can't quite tell if it's snow or some sort of confetti that is falling. I originally thought snow, but the girl doesn't look cold. I also am curious about the girl. Is she taking a nap in a park? Is she upset? Where are her shoes? I feel like this is one of those covers that has a lot of intrigue. It makes me want to open this one up to figure out who this girl is and what is happening in her life. The coloring of this one is brilliant. I like how everything is very dark except for the girl and title; it draws the eyes directly to those elements. It also took me looking at this one several times to even really notice the background.
