Teaser Tuesday: Betrayal, Losing It, Easy, Daughter of the Forest, & Send Me a Sign

Teaser Tuesday is a weekly feature, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading.

The bay was empty and its surface was a stark sheet of glass. Taylor leaned closer, and her breath condensed on the wavy vintage glass of the 1886 house. A perfect circle appeared. A circle? Then just as quickly as it came, it vanished. That feeling, a strange urgency that came from nowhere, also evaporated.

* Jen has two teasers to share this week!*

He looked up from his reading, and suddenly I found it hard to swallow. He was easily the most attractive guy I'd seen tonight - blond hair falling into crystal blue eyes, just enough scruff on his jaw to give him a masculine look without making him too hairy, and a face that could have made angels sing. It wasn't making me sing. It was making me gawk.

When his lips touched just south of my earlobe, I thought I might pass out. "Let's just dance," he said. Pulling back just far enough to stare into my eyes, he drew my body against his, and my legs obeyed where his said to go.

"Will I ever be able to sleep again?" he asked suddenly, taking me by surprise. My answer was guarded; I had seen those taken by the Fair Folk, how their madness never quite left them by night or day, how the whirl of memories in their heads gave them no peace. "It might be a long time," I said gently.

"Do you think they'll guess? Do I look okay?" In the hospital everyone was so sick I blended in. In the real world I felt like a frail, pale-faced freak.
