Author Interview & Giveaway: Angela J. Townsend

We are excited to welcome author, Angela J. Townsend, to the nest today. She was kind enough to answer a few of my questions. Also, to help celebrate her blog tour, Spencer Hill Press has an amazing prize pack! Be sure to check out the giveaway details at the end of this post. You can also check out my review of Amarok in the post directly below this one.

Andrea @ Reading Lark: Imagine you're stranded on an island with no hope of rescue. You only have three books with you. What are they?

Angela: 1. How to survive on a deserted island. 2. How to build a shelter on a deserted island. 3. Guide to edible vegetation on a deserted island. :)  LOL

Andrea @ Reading Lark: Can you describe your novel in five words?

Angela: No, but I can do it in six. ;)  Alaska has never been so magical!

Andrea @ Reading Lark: Why did you choose to become an writer?

Angela: I don't have a choice. I'm absolutely compelled to write. It feeds my soul.

Andrea @ Reading Lark: Were you a reader as a child?

Angela: Yes

Andrea @ Reading Lark: How did you come up with the idea for Amarok

Angela: Amarok came to me in one complete story as do most of my novels. I love the ice-age, I love magic and ancient lore.  I longed to create something with wolves that wasn't anything to do with werewolves.

Andrea @ Reading Lark: Do you have any advice for aspiring writers?

Angela: YES! never give up. Do not let rejection get you down. DON'T quit. Its not easy but you can do it. I believe in you!

Andrea @ Reading Lark: What is your favorite bird?

Angela: Dodos because they lived during the Ice-Age, but sadly became extinct during the 17th century.

This or That?

- Coffee or Tea?  Barry's Irish tea..hot of course.
- Call or Text?  Call
- Pancake or Waffle?  Pancake with butter and sugar
- Morning or Night? both love early mornings and staying up late...I guess I'm against sleepy afternoons.
