Author Interview & Giveaway: Robyn Bavati
We are excited to welcome author,Robyn Bavati, to the nest today. Be sure to check out the giveaway details at the end of this post.
Robyn: I just discovered that the book I wanted to write was YA – I guess a part of me is still fourteen. I love writing for teens because they’re young enough to have open minds and old enough to handle the kinds of themes I want to explore.
Andrea @ Reading Lark: Can you describe your novel in five words?
Robyn: Passion for ballet collides with religion. (Sorry, that was six.)
Andrea @ Reading Lark: What was the last book you read?
Robyn: Maine, by Courtney Sullivan.
Robyn: Yes, a real book worm.
Andrea @ Reading Lark: Who is your current book boyfriend?
Robyn: Tiny Cooper from Will Grayson, Will Grayson. It’s strictly platonic – I’m married and he’s gay.
Andrea @ Reading Lark: Who are three of your favorite authors?
Robyn: Gabrielle Williams, Fiona Wood, and Jenny Downham. (I also love Nick Hornby and have a longstanding addiction to Joanna Trollope.)
Andrea @ Reading Lark: What is your favorite bird?
Robyn: Don’t have a favorite, but the Blue Indian Peacock is simply stunning.
