Teaser Tuesday: Forgotten, The Eternity Cure, Luminaire, & Life After Theft

Teaser Tuesday is a weekly feature, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading.

So, when I give up looking for my car and sink into the back of a cab, I don't have a clue. In fact, it's only after I hand over my last forty dollars to the ungrateful driver and try to put my key into the lock of my apartment that I begin to panic.

Because the key doesn't fit. The lock doesn't turn.

And it has begun to snow.

No, I thought, dazed. It can't be. He can't be here now. It's not possible.

But it was, and I knew who it was, even before he turned around. Blond, blue eyed, lean and tall, like he'd stepped right out of my memory, out of my dreams, and into existence.

"Zeke," I whispered....

"Well, don't you get it?" said Yolee. "You're the only person to receive to dream because whatever you saw, it seems that only you can avert it."

You are at a crossroad....

I sat on the floor and shook my head. "What have I got myself into?"

She stared at me for a long time in a way that made me want to look over my shoulder. She was.... impressed. And that certainly didn't make any sense. I had to be missing something. "You really can see me, can't you?" she said, sounding - of all stupid things - awestruck. Our conversation had sailed straight past run-of-the-mill weird and docked in crazytown... "Nobody else can see me," she said. The seriousness in her voice was kind of freaking me out. "No one in this entire school, except you."
