Teaser Tuesday is a weekly feature, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading.
That didn't stop her from pausing in one storefront to admire two big crimson awnings that read CAFFE POMPEII. A volcano goddess standing in front of a restaurant named after a town destroyed by a volcanic eruption? If Ash believed in signs, this one might have indicated that she was on the right path.
But Ash had no faith in signs anymore.

"Uh, Avry. Can you heal... uh... you know... man pain or would a patient need a male healer?" Quain asked.
Suppressing a fit of giggles, I imagined his face was bright red, even the top of his bald head.
Loren laughed. "What's the matter, Quain? Did your last encounter give you a case of the clap? I didn't know cows carried that disease." A yell followed a grunt and then the unmistakable sounds of two men wrestling accompanied a cloud of dirt.

"We thought she was probably dead. At least I did. She was here one day and then just gone, like for no good reason. I just thought, what if that was me? I sit around thinking of all the stuff I'm gonna do someday, you know, when I get it together. What if there's no someday?"
~ Period 8 by Chris Crutcher, pg. 87

So small as to be negligible. It's strange, but there's something in that thought that makes me feel almost...free.
~ Allegiant (Divergent #3) by Veronica Roth, pg. 187
Sounds like a fun book.
