History was my first love, but reading was a close second. As a kid, I loved combining my two passions. I remember having to read this novel in one of my classes. I found Jethro's story to be enthralling - even as a middle school student. It truly saddens me that so many people who were forced to read this one ended up hating it. I found the story to be poignant and well researched.
