Me Tarzan - You Jane is a delightful contemporary romance about Jane, a widowed make-up artist and aspiring author, and Lucas, a model/entrepreneur. When Jane first meets Lucas at a writers' convention, she is not at all impressed by all the women swooning and throwing themselves at him. She instantly judges him as conceited and arrogant. But Lucas is immediately drawn to her because he notices her lack of interest. He flusters Jane with his comments and she can't explain why her body reacts the way it does because she thinks he's a colossal jerk.
Jane's entry ends up winning the contest at the writers' convention. She gets to work with an amazing book agent, and Lucas Oliver will be the model on the cover of her debut novel. She is stunned. Again, when confronted with Lucas, his comments cause her body to do traitorous things. All she wants to do is run away from him.
Jane and Lucas end up meeting yet again at a photo shoot in LA for a mutual friend. Jane's 4 year old daughter Ella is there and she instantly falls for Lucas's charm. Jane tries to keep them apart as best she can, but Ella thinks that Lucas is wonderful. At this photo shoot, Jane finds out her client, Madame V, has hired her to do a photo shoot in Paris over the holidays. The trip is all expenses paid for Jane and Ella, including a nanny for Ella and a $5,000 bonus. How can Jane say no?
When Jane and Ella arrive in Paris, Lucas is at the airport to pick them up. Due to the impending snow storm, they are staying at Madame V's guest house instead of a hotel...with Lucas. Jane realizes she must confront her feelings regarding Lucas, and the promises she made to herself after her husband, Evan, died.
At this point in the book, I started getting really frustrated with Jane. She believes she can never love again - that the love she and Evan had only comes once in a lifetime and she cannot be with another man. While I do not doubt her devotion to her dead husband, I think she was way too hard on herself as far as loving someone else. I also think Jane was extremely judgmental when it came to Lucas. She refuses to see past what she sees on the surface and get to know the man behind the public facade.
Of course, Jane and Lucas encounter numerous bumps in the road during their tumultuous relationship. Lucas was also a bit frustrating in how he handled things with Jane. He should have made more of an effort for her when some of those problems arose. But both parties contributed to their relationship issues.
Were Lucas and Jane able to overcome it all in order to be together? If you want to know the answer, you'll have to get yourself a copy of Me Tarzan - You Jane! This is one that kept me up at night wanting to know what was going to happen. I hope you'll enjoy it as much as I did!
Moving on doesn’t always have to mean goodbye.
Widowed makeup artist Jane Sullivan is more comfortable keeping her husband's memory alive than dating a pool full of sharks. Ella, her 4 year-old daughter, is her whole world.
When Jane meets Lucas Oliver, famous cover model, it’s hate at first sight. His playboy persona rubs her the wrong way.
Accustomed to every woman fawning over him, Lucas is drawn to the shy, uncompromising single mom and completely melts at the sight of Ella. He is determined to convince Jane that sometimes a second chance can mend a broken heart.

Praise:
Fun book. When it first started out, I was afraid it was going to be shallow (lots of references to hot guys, etc) but it turned out to be a thoughtful story with likable characters. I look forward to reading more from this author. ~ Author Karey White
Great story! Loved Jane's strength, and learning the layers of "Tarzan." This is a great story about moving on after a tragedy and learning to trust again! ~ Author Sherry Gammon
I adored this book. The characters were so alive for me that I was actually sad when the book ended. I wanted more. Maybe the author will be kind enough to write about each of the male models mentioned here ... If your looking for a heartfelt story this is the book for you. ~Solmarie
