Teaser Tuesday: Every Last Word, The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up, Rebel Spring, & No Parking at the End Times

Teaser Tuesday is a weekly feature, hosted by MizB of A Daily Rhythm.

And I want to stop, but I can't, because telling someone with OCD to stop obsessing about something is like telling someone who's having an asthma attack to just breathe normally. My mind needs more information. I'm not at the end of the rabbit hole.

~ Every Last Word by Tamara Ireland Stone, pg. 243 (ARC)

When a room becomes cluttered, the cause is more than just physical. Visible mess helps distract us from the true source of the disorder. The act of cluttering is really an instinctive reflex that draws our attention away from the heart of the issue.

If you can't feel relaxed in a clean and tidy room, try confronting the feeling of your anxiety. It may shed light on what is really bothering you. When your room is clean and uncluttered, you have no choice but to examine your inner state.

~ The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up by Marie Kondo, pg. 21

It was so unexpected that she hadn't the chance to even think of pushing him away. His body pressed her firmly against the rough cave wall. His hands slid down to her waist to pull her closer to him.

And just like that, with his proximity, with his kiss, he managed to fill her every sense. He was smoke from the campfire, he was leaves and moss and the night itself.

~ Rebel Spring (Falling Kingdoms #2) by Morgan Rhodes, pg. 149-150

But we're not alone. We've never been alone, and that's the point. Mom and Dad have always been constant, and I want to shove that right in his face. Have it kick his memories to life like a smelling salt. Because we never had a lot, but we always had each other. They always tried. Always. And that has to still count for something.

~ No Parking at the Ends Times by Bryan Bliss, pg. 10
