Magic Lamp Sunday 3/6/16

We discovered this feature at Ya-Aholic, where it ran on Fridays. It sounded like a fun addition to our lineup, but fits better here on Sundays. It's based on the basic Magic Lamp = 3 wishes idea. Since there are so many of us, though, we're just taking one wish each per week.

If we had a Magic Lamp, we'd wish:

Paula: I wish I had time to go back and re-read book 1 every time I pick up a sequel. Inspired by The Mirror King by Jodi Meadows.

Julie: I wish more of my students were making connections between the power of rhetoric in the 400 year old Shakespeare play we're reading and the rhetoric being used in our current political landscape. Inspired by Julius Caesar by William Shakespeare.

Aimee: I wish I could take a class at Oxford University. Inspired by The Mad Woman Upstairs by Catherine Lowell.

Andrea: I wish that Ruta Sepetys wrote faster because I love her novels so very much. Inspired by Salt to the Sea by Ruta Sepetys.

  1. Oh Paula I love your wish! There have been times I've tried finding a "recap" if you will of books before I start the second in a series. :)

    1. A recap would be perfect! Beginning with a "previously. . . " chapter would be so helpful. You could skip it if you didn't need it, but it would be great to have a reminder of key plot points.
