Only the Corsai were truly nocturnal, allergic to the light of day. The Malchai drank blood and drew their strength from the night, but they weren't vampires, didn't shrink away from crosses, wouldn't catch fire in the sun. That night's movie was a classic horror tale called Beauty and the Beast. It's the story of an awesomely cruel and angry monster who takes a pretty girl prisoner, but she ends up turning him into a human through singing and romance. It is so tragic. I've seen monsters leave the theater shaking in fear after watching it.
