I've said before that reading a Jill Mansell novel is like coming home and putting on your favourite comfy pjs and slippers, and diving into a tub of ice cream. It's familiar, comforting, and something you look forward to all day. Meet Me at Beachcomber Bay is no exception to this.

In the small Cornwall town of St Carys, we meet Clemency and Ronan. They work together in the local real estate office, and as much as the town gossips would like it to be more, they are best friends. Three years earlier, Clem met her perfect man on a flight. The chemistry was undeniable, and she gave him her card, but never heard from him. So when Sam walks into her office looking for a house, it could be perfect. Except, he also happens to be the new boyfriend of her stepsister, Belle.

Fake relationships, secret affairs, and family drama follows. Will they all get their happily ever after, or will someone be left heart broken?

This book is beautifully written. The town of St Carys is drawn in charming detail and it's populated with a cast of true to life characters dealing with issues such as adoption, sexuality, and family politics. The threads of the story weave together to create a rich tapestry which makes this a really enjoyable reading experience.

I loved being transported into this world, and was keen to find out how things would turn out, not only for the three main characters, but also their families and friends. Books of this type specialise in the happily ever after, and that's the case here as well, but it may not be the HEA you expect.

MEET ME AT BEACHCOMBER BAY is a romantic, funny and unputdownable new novel about love and friendship from Jill Mansell, bestselling author of THE ONE YOU REALLY WANT and YOU AND ME, ALWAYS - 'A glorious, heartwarming romantic read' Woman & Home. Perfect for anyone who loves Milly Johnson, Lucy Diamond and Jenny Colgan.

Love is in the air in St Carys, but you'd never know it - the people of this seaside town are very good at keeping secrets...

The man Clemency loves belongs to someone else. She has to hide her true feelings - but when she ropes in an unsuspecting friend to help, wires start to get crossed.

For the first time in Ronan's life his charm has failed him in winning over the woman he wants. Loving her from afar appears to be his only option.

Belle seems to have the perfect boyfriend, but something isn't quite right. And now a long-buried secret is slowly rising to the surface.

The truth has a funny way of revealing itself, and when it does St Carys will be a very different place indeed...
