Cover Crazy: The Creeping

The purpose of Cover Crazy is to feature a cover each week for us to admire its beauty. I really like this idea since there are so many great covers out there! Cover Crazy is a meme that was started by The Book Worms.

There is so much to talk about with this cover- and all of it is just as creepy as the title on this volume. The first thing I noticed is the deep woodsy setting; it's so thick that practically anything could be hiding in there. The girl in the tree, case in point: if she wasn't wearing a flowing stark white skirt, you may not see her until she'd had a chance to pounce on you. Her pose is rather feral, don't you think? Then there is the choice to do this image in black and white; there is no promise of hope or redemption in this cover. The font of the title itself creeps down the page! This is the kind of cover that begs to jump into a reader's hands.
