Teaser Tuesday: Stolen & When My Heart Was Wicked
Teaser Tuesday is a weekly feature, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading.
Anyone who met Clay, though, could be forgiven for the mistake. He didn't talk like someone with an advanced degree. And he sure didn't look like a Ph.D. Clay was one of those detestable people blessed with both genius-level intelligence and drop-dead-gorgeous looks. Blue eyes, dark blond curls, and a rugged face straight out of a magazine.
~ Stolen (Women of the Otherworld #2) by Kelley Armstrong, pg. 79
I am what they say about Gemini, though. Two-sided. There is the me I long to be all the time, the one that feels like me. And then there is this other person who is more like my mother, and she is dismal, ugly, and dark. Filled to the brim with tears and muck. Dark, churning inside, like I have swallowed enough quarts of motor oil to fill me. This is the twin, the stranger. She is coming back, invasive and sick. I am afraid she will push the good twin out.
~ When My Heart Was Wicked by Tricia Stirling, pg. 79 (ARC)
OOoh nice teasers! LOVED Stolen! Been forever since I read that one! Totally agree with that teaser too! People like that are detestable!--both looks and brains...sigh...Clay...;)

On I love this book! And Clay, though he was a little highhanded with her.

Love them both!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed both teasers. Especially the one from When My Heart Was Wicked. Goes with the title.
